
H.M.S. Adventure, 6785 tons was launched at Devonport on 18 June 1924 and completed on 5 May 1927. She was 520 feet in length and had a beam of 59 feet. She was driven by 40,000 HP Parsons geared steam turbines with Diesel-electric drive for cruising. Her maximum speed was 28 knots. In November 1939 she was equipped with four 4.7 inch guns, two 0.5 inch machine guns, one multiple pom-pom and four 3 pounders.
Adventure continued to serve as a minelayer for most of the remainder of World War 2. She was converted to an accommodation and maintenance ship in March 1944 and took part in the D-Day landings, including the repairs to the Mulberry harbour at Arromanches following the gale in mid-June. She was scrapped in 1947.
